I'm confused as to what you have and what you want. the 250, 250 Savage and the 250-3000 are the same case. If you want 22-250 the easiest way is to take the 250 brass and run it through a 22-250 full length sizer die to neck it down. No other changes would be necessary unless the cases are too long or the necking down thickens the brass in the neck too much to hold the bullet and fit in the chamber.

Thanks Perry Shooter. 55 gr FMJ behind how much of what powder?

Sorry Ray I was not clearer about what I had. These are 250 Savage cases that have been necked down to 22 cal.

    STOP!!!
Explain what you want to do.

Do NOT use a fast powder behind a bullet to fire form.

If you want to make back into .25 cal. fireform without a bullet.
If you want to reload them as 22/250 and they are .22 already {.22 bore} find a load in a reloading book.

    The 4 best ways are:

    1) Expand the necks up to 25 caliber in three steps. 23, 24, 25.

    2) Load a standard 55 grain bullet over a standard charge of powder and shoot them in a 250 chamber.

    3) Load a very light charge of fast burning powder like BE, Tamp in 1/8 sheet of TP to hold the powder in place. Shoot in a 250 chamber.

    4) Sell them to a guy that wants some 22-250 brass and use the money to buy 250 brass.

Its mystery brass, how many times was it fired? how hot a load in how loose a chamber? I'd be using them for cast bullet loads in a 22-250.
