32-20 with small rifle primers

  Not lately. I used rifle primers in rifles and pistol ones in pistols. What does your data call for?

  yes, all the time. it is origanly a rifle round.

  articles I have read says that with some powers you get lower volicy spread with small rifle primers, when loading for a revolver.

  I never think of a 32-20 repeater as a target round like a 32-40 in a single shot. Primer, powder, bullet - weight, seating depth, crimp, diameter, composition, lube are the variables to play with when reloading.
  
  I think powder choice has more to do with velocity spread than primer choice.

  I do.
  At 32-20 pressures, small pistol should also work.

  One of the silhouette shooters I know uses the 32-20 in his Contender for Big Bore, right next to me, using a .30 carbine in a Blackhawk.
  We were both using small rifle primers.
