What is the parent cartridge used to form the 40-82?

Also 45/70 can be used to form the 40/82.
They will grow that much.
Bufflo arms and starline used the 70 cases.

Strange, when I neck a .45-70 down to .40, I get a .40-65. It is a smidgen longer than Starline .40-65, but still within chamber length.
