    I haven't work on one for long time. I think the safety locks the bolt by engaging a notch in the bolt body. Might be a burr on the lever arm or it could be bent a little out of alignment and hitting the bolt body instead of passing into the notch.

    Respectfully, I do not advocate trigger work being handled by unsuspecting individuals. Charlie wants to be helpful by answering your query but the reality is that trigger work needs to be handled by those professionals who are capable of doing the work safely. Small errors can create awful results.

    Please take your trigger to a gunsmith to get this resolved without potentially causing more trouble. He or she will look at the entire system to determine where the problem is and correct it safely.
