Colt DS Serial Number

Just bought a never fired, NIB with everything Colt Detective Special - the NRA card & instructions are still in the plastic sealed envelope. It's a 3rd model with the ramped sight, ejector shroud. I've poked around a few sites including Colt and can't get a DOM. Serial # is PO6141. I've tried the "O" as a letter and a zero, nothing.

Anyone have info?

  Colt has information not on the www lookup.
  Phone and talk to a human. They will give out the year made but no other information without you paying a hundred bucks for a letter.

  The Colt comes from a collection of a fellow who just died. He had about 100 Colts & nearly all were NIB. His widow and a friend figured they'd save time and space by tossing the boxes and bringing only the guns to a local gun store. Fortunately someone got to them before they carried out their little plan.
