Old 410 pump with side plates on the action?

Looking for info on such a gun. I have not seen it but a friend found a 410 pump that he said has removeable side plates on the action but he could not remember the name. Any details on this? Were they a reliable shooter etc? Thanks!

  I had a similar? Shotgun years ago. It was a 16 gauge semi auto, made by CZ I believe? This was after the war in the 40's, before the commies took over Czechoslovakia.
  
  It had a long recoil Browning mechanism. With wooden side plates attached to the receiver, by what looked like dovetails. Must have took a lot of precision machine work, just to attach the side plates.

  They sure wont win any beauty contests but for the asking price he probably cant go wrong for a .410.
