Lead Goose Loads
In my dad's basement I found 10 boxes of lead #2 mags. We did a bunch of goose hunting in the late 70's and this was left over after the conversion to steel shot.
Is there a market to sell these? Maybe for home defense or something?
Any other ideas?
Thanks.

Put them on the auction, with quality photos. Showing condition of sample boxes and individual shell(s).
Long as the shells/boxes are in good shape. Plastic hulls, not reloads. Shouldn't have any problem selling them. Only hassle, wold be cost of shipping by FedEx or UPS.0 -
I used #2's for Chucker's. One pellet hit was enough. Nice part was the bb always pulled in a feather making shot removal easy to find.
They could work for home defense. I like 18 pellets of buffered 00 or 41 pellets of #4 buckshot.0 -
Cost is about $5.00 per box on the shells UPS. 0 -
I've sold a bunch to coyote hunters etc. UPS is way more tan 5 per box BTW. I'd list half I typically get at least 10 per box, usually even more 0 -
There are still guys looking for them for use (illegal) on geese. 0 -
There's a very active free online classifieds here in Indiana as well as the Indiana Gun Owners forums. As much as I love GunBroker I try to sell ammo locally to avoid the shipping costs. 0 -
They are good home defense loads, keep them. 0 -
Been using copper plated lead 2's on pheasants in SD for 66 years . Nothing more deadly. Probably have killed 3000 plus wild birds and lost perhaps 10. Good retrivers and pointing dogs helped out. 0
