Can anyone identify what this wood stock goes to?

Have this very nice wood stock that we cannot identify what it fits. It is approx. 11 1/2" in length at top, butt plate area 4 1/2" tall x 1 1/2". Only guess so far is from a friend that it possibly fits a youth/20 gauge shotgun??? Would like to identify to get it to someone that can use it. Can anyone help? Thanks !!

  it looks like it would fit a mod. 1897/97 Winchester 16 gauge or an early model 12 Winchester 16 or 20 gauge that has been cut. I am no expert and am probally wrong.

  I'm guessing an aftermarket (Fajen) semifinished stock for a M12 (perch belly early pattern)
