Colt date of birth?

Hi, Experts. I'm looking at a Colt Model 1908, .360 cal. pistol. The serial # is 127xxx. Any idea of the date of manufacture?

  Late 1930's. Most likely it is chambered in .380 ACP.

  Thanks for the reply. According to one source the serial number = 1937, but a lot of reference material is inaccurate, so I thought I'd check. Regards. Jim

  Off the Colt site I get 1937 also, putting in variations from 127000 to 127999 and a few in between. At that date the 1908 should have a grip and magazine disconnect safety.
