I found the problem with the 870 not firing.. It was a problem with the hammer not striking the firing pin hard enough.. There is a small pin in the very back of the trigger mechanism that was partially out.. Pushed it back in flush and WA LA the 870 goes bang again.. Thanks a lot for all the insight in finding the problem
