Video question... ballistic gel.
Sorry this is linked to Facebook, but can anyone tell me why the small fire/blast from inside the gel? I have no idea what or why it is going on and is it something that is common but I have just missed it due to this being s l o w m o t i o n. [8D]

There are a number of similar videos on U Tube. Don't have a clue what causes it? But it's a interesting phenomena. Your probably going to have to get one of the Einstein's, from the GD forum. To explain it. 0 -

POSSIBLE explanation- you are watching a diesel. The cavity expands greatly, drawing in air and smoke from the fired cartridge. As it sharply contracts, would compress air and smoke in that cavity. Fast compression equals heat. Heat, air and fuel equals flash/bang. 0 -
