I too detest that rattling/sloppiness in the multi-position stock. To cure that I purchased Mag-Pull ACS-L butt stock, which in addition to the locating detent has a friction lock also. No more rattle/slop/wiggle. 0 -

Got me one of those Daniel Defense stocks on my BCM buffer tube. I had to take the roll pin out of the DD to get it to slip on the tube. I will say it is SNUG. With a JP Enterprises' Capture Spring unit it got no rattle. Ninja quiet [:D].0
