early Weatherby Mauser actions marked MCP MCR
I see the early 1940-50's Weatherby rifles (pre-Mark V) marked on the side with "MCP" or "MCR"
anyone know what that stands for ?
these are the FN Mauser actions that Weatherby used for his early cartridges, before they tooled up and made the Mark V.

think I found it, possibly....
MCR means Multi Cartridge Rifle
meaning the 300 Weatherby Mag, would also fire 300 H&H, 300 Win Mag in the same chamber0
