Converting a 6.5 carcano bore to .270 carcano...?
Is it possible to rebore a 6.5 carcano bore to .270 bullet size, and simply use this bullet in place of the 6.5 one ?

Not a great idea, 'cuz this plan will cost more in labor than 4 or 5 entire Carcanos are worth. Would also require custom reloading dies to load the new oddball wildcat.
Can't find the proper (.268") dia projectiles for the ol' beast?
Suggest using a cast bullet, or else swaging .277" dia (native to .270 Win) flat base bullets down to .268" & load these.
In addition, Prvi Partisan now has reasonable ammo for these, & it's boxer primed.

Norma has them, pricey though. 0 -

Just as an exercise in a complete explanation:
In order to gain the best benefits from re-boring it's necessary to remove AT LEAST 0.015" in order to clean up the existing lands and present a good surface for the top of the new lands. In this situation you have less than that so most of the guys doing the re-boring would turn the project down.
Secondly, the barrel steel in the Carcanos was not known to be the best or even nearly the best, so the reaming to clean up the existing bore might be a lesser quality than you need to a good land and groove.
Third, the cost would be prohibitive based on the current prices of original Carcanos.
However, if you'd like to go through the exercise for yourself, I can supply you with the names of a couple of the best re-boring shops.
Best.

A 7mm bore/groove, 0.277"/0.284" will not work either because of the lack of barrel material needed to clean up the groove diameter.
Again, I think you're reaching for the sky based on what this will cost and the anticipated lack of quality at the end.

Could a patient worker "fresh out" a .268" to .277" as in muzzleloader days? 0 -
Maybe but that Gain Twist might be an issue. I have a shot out 256 Newton I would like to make into a 7mm-06 Quick Twist along the lines of the 256 Newton made for my dad by A&M. That rifle might be in my hands again soon - haven't seen it in at least 10 years.
I drew a cow elk tag, would be a nice treat to fill the tag with dad's rifle.

Bumping bullets up in diameter usually works better than swedging them down due to spring back. Perhaps heat some to make a bonded core before starting or start with a Hot Core bullet.
Seems like a lot of work just to shoot a Carcano.
added 2 The undersize bullet will by obturation bump out to fit the bore, accuracy may suffer due to errors in alignment at the start of the process.
Chamber pressures are way more than enough to swedge bullets, P.O. Ackley. I know folks that have tested this theory with 45 ACP in a 30-06 and 9mm Sten gun ammo in a 30 Mauser broomhandle. The trick I think is the bullet needs to be able to move freely at first not jammed in the rifling at the start. I am not in any way telling you to shoot 270 bullets in your rifle.
Cast bullets with lots of antimony might be very close to bore size depends on the mold. I have a Lyman 6.5 Loverin design mold, I could check to see what they throw as. I did swag them up to 30 cal. using a 270 gas check making a short boattail effect as a kid back in the 70's. They shot reasonably well considering. Lot of work bumping hard cast bullets up in a CH swage press.0 -

Prvi and Norma use the.264 bullet, too small.0 -
