    jerrywh818,

With the advent of Cerakote, I haven't even bothered with any other product. We used to try all the DIY products as they came onto the market but we were always disappointed. There is no reason to deal with DIY products which are inferior to this product. You may desire to have the freedom and possible simplicity of use a DIY product but the quality of Cerakote is without peer. Find an applicator near you and never look back.

    Best.

Cerakote application directions require sand blasting or bead blasting.
My parts are hand engraved and cannot be blasted. The bead blasting will eliminate the possibility of a true gloss finish also. Thank you for the reply Jerry Huddleston [Engraver]

    jerrywh818,

Well since you didn't specify engraved metal, how was I supposed to know. No I didn't check your profile either.

CeraKote can be applied in any range from Flat Black to Ultra Glossy. Yes, you have bead blast and this would not bode well for engraving.

Good luck with you choice of applications.

    Best.

Any rattle can style finish will fill in the engraving. Being aluminum Anno? Or gold plating? Basically something real thin.

Take a look at Dura Coat gun blue it is paint but goes on very thin. Practice on an old gun it is tough.
