Model 12 DOM?

Hi, Experts. Any idea what year of manufacture for a Winchester Model 12, S# 740374. The seller says DOM is 1937, but I know there's a lot of mis-information about serial numbers and corresponding year of manufacture. Thanks for any and all info. Jim
