Primer question
Is there a way to tell if an empty brass case has a Berdan or Boxer primer?

What is the difference between a Remington 7 1/2 and a Remington 6 1/2? Is a Fed 200 primer the equivailent of a Remington 6 1/2? And a Fed 205 the equivailent of a Remington 7 1/2? 0 -
Look inside. Boxer primed cases have one central flashhole, Berdan usually has two, maybe three, maybe one but off center. 0 -
If you want to look at the empty case's Berdan primer and the two holes and nipple, you can hydraulically push the primer out of the case by filling it 3/4's full with water and inserting a snug fitting bullet and whacking the bullet with a hammer. It usually just takes one whack. 0 -
Sure.
1) Shine a BRIGHT light down thru the mouth & view the flash hole(s)
2) Learn how to read headstamps0 -
