These sweet 16 are highly respected Shot guns how ever In My opinion the fact the stock has been cut the poly choke installed and FRECKLING on receiver you have lost any collector value I hate to say but my best guess is $250.00 + or - 50 dollars

Sweet 16's, are highly sought after. About the only 16 gauges, that folks this side of the pond. Are interested in, and willing to pay big bucks for.

As the barrel and stock are replaceable. It's possible if one of the collectors/dealers, who has one he can swap out parts with? Could be interested. All depends on the "Freckling". Cosmetics would be a deal killer, if the "Freckling"/surface rust is extensive.

Don't believe you will be ahead putting barrel, stock on it. Start it at 1.00 and think you will be surprised what it would bring. My guess is 300-450...

Hello .I have a Browning sweet sixteen.Serial # starts with 9 s.Good shape light freckling on the receiver.wood is in good shape satin finish.looks like the stock was cut at some point 13 inch lop with recoil pad.Barrel is about 26 inches to the end of the poly choke.looking for approx value. Thinking of listing here on gb,but I have no idea what it's worth if anything.thanks

those used to be sky high $800 and up, but lately I see them at gun shows in great condition for $600 and down, with no buyers.

due to changing tastes amongst shooters and hunters.

I have one inherited from my Dad, they do kick like a mule being recoil operated, even with a recoil pad. a lot of muzzle rise after each shot.

a guy I know was walking around with a pristine Sweet 16 outside a gun show and he only wanted $300 for it. could not believe they went down that much in value.

just like cars, stereos, etc. when the older generation dies off, the younger crowd doesn't know or care what they are, so the values drop. they want modern new gas operated high tech everything.

Mofo,,holy cow,, should have snapped that up. Darn barrel is worth that much, even today.
Around here, they still bring good money,,area, but agree younger generation don't care about the "wooden guns,".

My vote would also be to list it here for $1 minimum bid. You will find out what it is worth and may be pleasantly surprised. Not high dollar with poly choke and cut stock but still a hell of a good shooter and worth decent money as one.
