    Charter Arms back in the 80's. Made a handgun version of the AR 7, they called it the Explorer II. Maybe it's a barrel from one that has been cut down and threaded for accessories?

    Its a straight blowback, bolt rests on the barrel.

    Not a very good pistol function wise.

    In the photo it looks like the locating tab for the barrel is located 90 degrees from the writing which makes it an AR 7 rifle barrel, the pistols had their tab in a different place so the pistol barrel could not be easily installed in the rifle...ATF requirement. This barrel shows what someone thought would be an improvement....

    Thanks, as it is a cut down rifle barrel it goes in the scrap pile.
