It's going to be hard to tell for sure for only one picture. What does the water table look like? Are there any numbers or markings on the bottom of the barrel or dolls head ?

I like it, true work of art. The selector location seems odd to me but I have only seen a few plain jane field models.

Could be an enhanced restoration? Turnbull did this one I think

If it's made in Japan? It would have to be marked. This is do to U.S. import law. Requiring any manufactured product, to be marked with country of origin.

It did have a number like 106 on it?? Owner said he knew the engraver... Its beautiful!.. Not a big deal, I was just curious as I know nothing about parkers but thought they went out of business like 70 years ago... Tried to look this up and didnt find much... Thanks!

This one looks like the Parker A-1 reproduction. The wood graving/checkering may be pressed positively into the wood which would give it that subdued mottled appearance. I only looked at one of the lesser grade Parker reproductions made in Japan. While they appeared to be nicely made, there were shortcuts taken (e.g., the name plate/disc on the heel of the stock was glued on not staked in).

    Didn't they re-make these in the '80's/'90's?

Could be a real Parker sent to Japan to be "enhanced", nothing wrong about doing that, I've had 2 Browning A-5's make the trip, thus no "made in Japan" markings [;)]
