Looks like a ATI Fiberforce Dragunov Stock. 0 -
Yup, Tangara has it, the a Dragunov style stock. As far as the magazines, I don't see the usual 10-rounder in place. Without looking at the bottom to see if there is anything proprietary I will guesstimate it'll take the "standard" style SKS detachable mags, or a regulation fixed mag.
I'd contact the seller to see if they can send you pics of the magazine area so you can see how it's set up.0 -
I've had a number of SKS's over the years. None of them worked with any of the U.S. made "Duckbill" aftermarket magazines. No matter if they were plastic or metal. Or what their cartridge capacity was.
Likely the mag for this SKS won't be functional either.
If you bid on this SKS. Factor in what a conventional 10 round SKS mag, is going to cost,0 -

I'm personally not a fan of that type of stock on an SKS, though I guess that's a question of taste and some like them. I can recommend the conventional ATI Monte Carlo stock, though.
In terms of magazines, gun in that auction looks like it has NO magazine. Which probably means someone took out the factory one to use detachable ones.
I'd contact the seller and ask them about this explicitly. Where is the magazine? Has a previous owner modified the bolt or done any other work on the gun to accept aftermarket mags? Pictures of mag area aren't a bad idea.
IMO, as mentioned above, "best" magazine for an SKS is the standard factory fixed 10 rounder. Those always work, plus with a FIXED 10 round mag you have a legal ordinary 'hunting' rifle, not some evil "assault rifle". These can be had for around $30, if you look around.
With practice, you can load a factory magazine with stripper clips nearly as fast as changing a detachable magazine. Its a decent advantage, because loaded stripper clips are a lot lighter, less bulky, and cheaper than magazines, not to mention potential legality advantage. EG, you can throw three loaded 10 round stripper clips into your shirt pocket.
Some claim good results with them, but aftermarket detachable magazines are notoriously unreliable. Often, they require "three hands" to operate: One to hold gun, one to hold back bolt, one to remove magazine. You can modify the bolt to partly remedy this problem (but see above).
Again, in my opinion, if you want a detachable magazine gun, instead of trying to turn an SKS into something it isn't, just spend another $200 and buy an AK pattern gun. 30 round magazines for AKs are cheap, readily available, and typically function 100%.0 -
i had one with that stock, was extremely front heavy and unbalanced. did not keep it very long. 0
