    The item is called "Rifle Laport" it is however a SxS percussion Shotgun.

    As it says on the littlegun site, these were made for sale in places were you would be doing well to get some powder and caps, fixed ammo uncommon and expensive.
    They were also sold here and in Europe primarily as decorators. The same guns are in 1911 Alfa and 1939 Stoegers catalogs (reprints). They were advertised by Stoegers for much longer but I do not now have a catalog from the 50s or 60s.

    Look at the pictures, the gun is cheaply made, the carving crude.
    In spite of that, the asking prices were from $10 to $100 in 1939, which is amazing because that would get you a breechloader from H&R to Parker.
