I had so much trouble finding a tang site to work on my Model 36 I gave up looking, the bolt is so long it will hit the sight knocking it backwards if placed on the pre-drilled tang holes when the rifle is cycled. A base adapter might work but I didn't want to go that route......maybe & hopefully you'll have better luck [;)] 0 -
Ask them if a 336 will work

Or perhaps this could work

added So how far back does the sight need to move to clear the bolt?
I think a 10 gauge (1/8") shoe under the sight base would be fine. Lot of small 3D milling machine around that could turn out a new one piece base with the proper set back. Maybe just a chunk of steel, a Dremel tool or a cordless drill and a file.0 -
Those will fit the pre-drilled holes but the bolt will still hit the sight when the action is cycled. I'd still love to add one to mine but like I said I gave up trying [:(]. 0 -
