Burris Fullfield Scope ( 1 3/4x5)
Picked up a Burris Fullfield (1 3/4x5 power) scope the other day which is made in the USA. I can't seem to locate any information on-line about the scope (model, value, what is the third adjustment knob on the bottom of the scope for - parallax?, why the odd power of the scope). I assume this was an early scope that Burris made. Any help would be appreciated. It is a 1" tube, matte black, duplex reticle, and 11" long.

I can't give you details, but I bet Burris will happy to give you all of the above, including probably a manual.

Some of the Burris scopes came with a knob on the bottom which locked the reticle in place so that it wouldn't move. When you tried to move the adjustments it wouldn't move the reticle. I believe that it was a posi lok, or something close to that. 0 -
+1 on the posi lock. Check with Burris. Tell them it is 1.75-5 x ??mm objective. In like new condition value around $150. 0 -
Yes, the Posi-Lock is it. Those all American made Burris scopes are awesome. 3 times the scope that the newer ones are today.
EDIT 1
In all actuality, the older original Burris Signature series, and the FullField scopes, were the ones that sat Leupold on their A$$. Made them realize they had been sitting on their Name only for way too long. The Signature series was made to compete with the Vari-X-III's, and the FullField against the Vari-X-II's. Both Burris glasses blew their perspective competition out of the water performance wise, and cost nearly 1/3 less. I still have a couple Signature 3-12X44's, and they are nothing short of amazing to this day.0 -
Thank all of you that replied for the information you provided. 0 -
Agree with TSR 100%. I'll take the older Burris USA made scopes over the new non-USA ones every time. 0
