WTK;Walther PP .22 Eagle N
Can anyone tell me where the Eagle N proof marks should be on a wartime production Walther PP in .22 cal serial#176xxxN

Your serial number doesn't seem correct? It dates to 1940 and should have a"P" suffix, rather than "N?. 0 -
My 1944 PP in .32 ACP has the Eagle/N on the slide near the ejection port, on the receiver visible through the ejection port, and on the end of the barrel; along with Waffenamt 359 on the left side of the trigger guard and left side of the slide. Its serial number has a "P" suffix.
I would expect other caliber models to be similar.0
