Another 870 20 ga question
A friend of mine was given a laminate 870 20 ga stock set to refinish. After stripping it he started to refinish it and it looks terrible. The owner of the gun suggested that he find a decent old solid wood set and do his magic on that.
Question is (without knowing what the S/N of the gun is)----how can he be assured that he shops for the correct set? I'm aware of the frame size issue---- does this apply on a gun that originally had a laminate stockset?

I would think a lamo stock set would be from an express 870 and would be the small frame. Call the owner and see if this is correct. 0
