Russian SKS-Spring loaded firing pin?

Recently picked up a Tula 1950 Russian SKS, After breaking it down discovered the bolt has a spring loaded firing pin. Never seen this before on any SKS. Bolt matches the gun so no way its a rework. Anyone else seen this?

  No. A firing pin spring was not part of Comrade Simonov's design. I would guess that a previous owner of your rifle heard about the slam fire problem with grease packed Yugo bolts, & decided to "improve" his rifle.

  It is original to the gun. 51 and later were free floating.

  It appears to be original, I see no indication the bolt was modified . Just looks too correct to have been changed, But can't say 100%.
