1885 H/W question

Hopefully Bert or some one can help. I saw a rifle at an auction SN 8506, it is listed as 45 Ex. It has British proofs and I was wondering if it is the 45/125 express or an English version.

  The "45 EX." marking is the 45-125 Winchester Express. The British/English cartridge made for the Model 1885 was the "45 ELEY EX." Serial number 8506 does letter as a 45 EX.
