Primers
What is the big deal with primers? You drop the hammer and they go BANG. Why are Eley better than others? Any difference in function with rim or center fire?

Can you tell me if Winchester ever used silver primers in their .356 ammo? I thought they always used brass primers. 0 -
I have some brass older Rem 9.5 primers for reloading. I can't remember the last time I saw a box of 303 Savage. 0 -
I have seen both colors on factory ammo as well as primers for reloading 0 -
That is what I was questioning. I have seen both listed.
I am going to list this box then as factory.0 -

I have a good one for you.
I have always been taught as a rule of thumb, if a primer is chrome colored the round is reloaded.
If the primer is brass colored the round is a factory round.
Don't think this is true.
I've definitely seen factory loaded rounds with chrome colored primers before.0 -
Not long ago, I saw a box of Remington factory loads that had both colors in the same box. 0 -
That works out well for you; according to federal law you can't sell reloads without an FFL.

I have boxes of Win primers that are brass color, and several boxes of Win primers that are silver, and I have factory Win ammo in both colors of primer, so I would not agree at all with your thinking as to what is factory and what is not. 0
