M57 Tokarev conversion , Cont,
The spring will handle both calibers.
Will the mag accept the longer 7.62x25 cartridge?
Is there a spacer in the mag well reducing it for the shorter 9mm mag?
Is the slide port long enough to eject the longer 7.62 loaded cartridge?
If everything accepts the 7.62, all you need is a barrel and bushing for the 7.62.
The ejector nub on the hammer housing on 9mm pistols has to be ground rearward for the longer 7.62 cartridge to clear the port.

Maybe the Norinco's had looser tolerances but mine was plug and play no grinding needed.
It did need new mags, barrel and barrel bushing.0 -
Tolerances on Chinese , Polish and Rumanian are such as they're 99% interchangeable. Zastava aren't so.
I put one together using Polish frame, Chinese slide, unknown hammer assembly and other unknown source parts and fit is as good as my various other T33s. You couldn't tell from slide fit.
Once converted they shoot either cartridge with just barrel and bushing change.
I've shot 9mmx19 +P+, 9mmx23 and 7.62x25 (with appropriate barrels) with no damage, though 124 grains at 1710++ in 9x23 using a 38Super load did shake the grips loose and won't be repeated.
Some importers shortened military length firing pins to act as inertia pins. They don't...reliably.
With slide removed, push firing pin flush with rear of slide. The firing pin should protrude from the slide face or needs replacement.
Why do you need someone else to pull the trigger??0
