Value of 1940 WW11 8mm Mauser ammo
I have 1940 8mm Mauser ammo in 5 round clips 70 rounds per belt! I have 359 rounds total.... Could you tell me total value with the belts:)? Greatly appreciated- melissa

We need to know the headstamp,what are the numbers and letters on the primer end of the cartridge.
It sounds like Turkish to me based on the count per belt.0 -

As mentioned, that's Turkish ammo. Once upon a time, these loaded bandoliers used to cost $5-10 at gunshows. . .but those days are long gone!
Going rate now seems to be about $35 per 70 round bandolier. That's the price people are actually willing to pay (that is, not the price that certain sellers on GunBroker want to get!).
So I'd say total value of your lot maybe $175, give or take a little bit.0 -

I see they are year 1940 so a few years earlier? I have a total of 5 belts of 70 rounds in each belt and 9 extra rounds Total rounds 359 plus the case to carry them:) let me know if this dang link works lol first time in the forum I prefer not to sell any gun personally
on another note I also have an AK47 WASR10 with 5-30 round clips and 470 rounds of ammo if ya all don't mind being so helpful again:)0 -

$150 would be reasonable for a quick sale; I think. I don't think WWII 1940 vintage for this ammo really adds (or takes away) value, if that's what you're asking.
On your AK, Romanian made WASR-10 is (unfortunately) one of the least desirable variants of AK rifles. Exact value will depend on its condition and where you're located (if its a 'grandfathered' one in a restrictive state it could be worth more).
But as a first estimate, for a good-to-excellent condition used gun in a normal configuration, that's worth about $550, again, give or take a little bit, and that should include at least 1-2 magazines, plus maybe a sling, cleaning rod, and/or other minor accessories. You can add a little bit extra if it has a nice case, etc.
Value of 30 round mags depends on exactly what type they are and condition, but if these are typical steel European made surplus mags, and you call them $15 each, you probably won't be too far off.
7.62x39 ammo (which is probably what your AK gun takes) runs about $230 now for 1000 rounds, for the most common (cheaper) Russian steel case ammo. So I ballpark your 470 rounds of ammo at about $110.
I'd say as a good first estimate, fair value for the gun, mags, and ammo is probably around $700.0 -
