1910 bolo machete question

My brother picked up a model 1910 bolo machete (dated 1912) in a trade last week. The grips are missing. Will grips from the model 1917 fit this same machete. If not, is there anybody that might know of somebody that makes reproductions? (I know this is leaning towards the want ads)
