If you want good answers then you need to post good well lit pic. Bubba has been active for a long time and has a buffing wheel plus access to hot bluing salts.

I came up with a box of 1911 parts and while i know what they are i'm trying to get an idea of when they were made. They can in a box from a US military arsenal and contained some oddities.
The main ones im wanting to know about are a high polish blued flat smooth mainspring housing. it also has a matching smooth long trigger and a grip safety with a short spur.
Are these pre WWI i know they are 1911 not 1911A1 but the smooth mainspring housing threw me

The high polish blued flat MSH makes me think of the 1918 made "Black Colt" version 1911. Lanyard loop, or none?
