Very difficult to price the shotguns through the photos. Need hands on, from a knowledgeable collector or dealer.

If you decide to sell them. You will receive the highest return, by selling them yourself on the GB auction. Selling through or to a dealer, would not get you the best return. The markup for either consignment or buying it for resale. Would be anywhere from 20% to 50%, over of what the dealer offers you.

If you decide to go that route. Quality close-up photos of the individual guns, are a must.

Those are all good name brands and look to be in good condition. It would be well worth getting a written appraisal by a local expert for at least insurance purposes. I think the value will justify a rider on your policy. I would also expect the expert to evaluate them for shooting condition and specify the correct ammo.

I agree your best market is nationwide as there may not be enough interest locally to get a good price.

It does appear that the most valuable firearm in that collection, is the Model "1894"(Vs. 94) Winchester. It is indeed an antique by BATFE guidelines, and was made sometime in 1897, if that is the correct serial number. It is a Deluxe takedown model, and appears that it most likely has some other special order features. It appears to be in 80% or better condition. The barrel marking should be 30 WCF.

A model 43 is listed but I do not see it in a photo. Depending upon condition, that could go over 1K.

It appears that 3 of the 4 shotguns have after market recoil pads. This alone takes them out of the collector category. Old doubles are very interesting, however few are sold as shooters. Most are relegated to wall hanger status.

Is the Suhl & Meffert a dreiling? It appears to have a cartridge trap on the underside of the butt.
