I purchased an Arsenal Inc AK 47 a couple months ago, its my first AK type rifle. I've been very impressed with this rifle. I am now considering purchasing a Ruger Mini 30 and attaching a folding stock. Any experiences with this rifle? Thanks in advance for any comments.

Sold an old 1990's mini-14 wood stock, which I checkered, on ebay and I also showed in the ebay auction pictures that the stock also fit on a mini-30. So at least the wood stocks exchange one way.

    Hi,
The Mini 30 magazine is wider along with the mag well and then some than the Mini 14. You could probably work a wood Mini 14 stock to accept the Mini 30 components. With wood that makes the vise versa a no go. Stop by your local Ruger dealer and check them out side by side.

Yes, as long as you are not talking about a very early Mini-14 stock.

Mini-14 and Thirty rifles with serial numbers 181-xxxxx and higher and serial numbers 581-xxxxx and higher use the exact same stock.

I fitted a Mini30 barreled action to a Mini14 stock. I had to do a lot of sanding to allow the action to fit in the magazine well area. It took a couple of hours but then everything worked fine.
