Winchester 97 Black Diamond

Would like an opinion on the value of a model 97 combo with two barrel sets.
It has been completely redone, professional and nice but wood and blueing both. A new case has been made along with all the accessories, cleaning rod etc. It is a really nice piece but it is no where close to original...

  97's are not my favorite old pump shotguns, but it's like the only option for cowboy action stuff.

  WAG $800.
  
  Who knows. Some old guy that has always lusted for a Black Diamond might pay more because it is shiny and he cannot afford a high condition original.
  
  In that case WAG $1000.

  If it is an original Black Diamond, its value has been diminished by at least 50%, by the refinish. If it is not an original, but made into one, again the originality has been compromised. At best, in either world, IMHO, you are looking at $600.00-800.00.
