EAA Witness Grips
I have a new (post 2005 large frame) full sized EAA Witness Match Elite in 9mm. I have other EAAs & CZs and know there is certain amount of interchangeability to their mags, base plates and grips. Does anyone know for certain (as in, you've done it ...[:)]) if grips for the CZ Tactical Sport fit the Witness Match Elite? Finding good wood checkered grips isn't exactly looking too easy for this gun. I bought some synthetic "Lava grips" in brown and they're OK, but I prefer wood.

There is an outfit in Mesa AZ that specializes in all things CZ. Run by a guy named Angus Hobdell. Besides CZ's, works on a lot of high end, race type, match guns. Ghost Products is the name, believe it or not.
If any body would know if the grips from a CZ Tactical Sport, would work on a Witness Match Elite, it would be him.0 -
My guess is that these are NOT going to fit, but no. . . I haven't tried it.
I have tried fitting standard small frame Tanfoglio grips onto a CZ and vice-versa, and it didn't work.
Edit: Doug, please send me a private email. I tried emailing you using the GunBroker system and it bounced.0 -
I asked this same question to Crimson Trace as to why one couldn't use CZ laser grips on a EAA Witness. They said because they just don't fit. On the other hand I got to fit the Hogue Finger groove grips from a 9mm model to fit on my 38 Super. Those weren't supposed to fit either. 0 -
I should have explained better - the CZ 75 Tactical Sport uses a different grip than the regular CZ 75. CZ Custom lists the CZ 75 TS grip separate from the others:
http://czcustom.com/cz-parts-all/grips/tactical-sports/cz-ts-factory-grips-walnut-wood.html
I know regular CZ 75 grips won't fit, although the Hogues will stretch & fit, but I don't want those.0
