My WAG, is that it's for a A Bolt.

Looks A-bolt to me. A top, side(s)if different and a bottom view of the magazine that fit on a normal computer screen without scrolling would greatly enhance identification. Big pic's of stamp/marking can often be useful. 0 -
No tab in front to lock into floor plate...not A-Bolt, so must be BLR. I have several A-Bolts, from 243 to 300 Win Mag, all of them have a little tab up front, and no side flanges.
BTW Golferboy...good to see you again on here!0 -
It actually resembles the magazine for my BBR a little more than the ones for my A-bolts. I don't see the little tab (which is actually on the rear of the magazine) in the pictures, either. Maybe it didn't show up in the pics? Both the BBR and the A-bolt mags require the tab to hook into the floor plate and a little bump on the front of the mag to snap it in place. While the BBR and A-bolt mags have slight differences, they look very similar and might even interchange, although I've never tried it.
BTW: An A-bolt .270 mag and a BBR .25/06 mag are sitting next to my keyboard as I type this.0 -
Thanks all and especially ambrose. Looks to be a BBR based on this link from another site. It's a sold auction so I hope it violates no rules. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Browning-BBR-Magazine-in-30-06-/252255530917?hash=item3abb99efa5:g:q3wAAOSwUV9WnH5h&nma=true&si=CSI401RYGL%2Bqeda%2BGdBdv8%2FjaOU%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557 0
