Winchester mod.# ?
Yesterday I was at a flea market. Saw a man with a small 22 cal. Winchester he had just bought. Couldn't get his attention to as about it. The rifle barrel was no longer than 24". Could be 18 "- 20 " Just guessing. It was a bolt action. Could have been a child's rifle. Any ideas. Plain wood stock. Thanks.[:)]

They came with a "long" barrel and a "short" version, "youth ?". My brothers was the short barrel and we don't know were it got to. A few years ago I found the longer barrel and gave it to him. He gave me the 311 410 SXS that was my first gun. I didn't know he had it. Wish I could find the 311 20 ga that we both used as teens. I think my Dad swapped some guns with the neighbor, he may have gotten a Win 97 for it. 0 -
Smallest original Winchester I can think of is the model 1900.
Odds are it was cut down. Model 67 Youth rifles with 20" barrels are not common.0 -
Thanks MG1890. The model 1900 is the rifle I saw. I appreciate everyone's help. Jim.[:)] 0
