winchester 1885 rebarrel

In regards to an original thick side Winchester low wall in 22 short. I would like to find a already threaded barrel in 17 caliber to replace the 22 short barrel. It would be nice if it was already chambered in 17 wsm if possible. Am I dreaming of does such a thing exist already made up.
Any help appreciated>

  I think you will need to have it made up. I'd make sure the firing pin strike location will work on the larger case.

  I doubt you will find a "screw on". There is also a dovetail cut for the mainspring tenon and another for the forearm tenon. And, a cut on the breechface for the extractor. BTW, the extractor will need reworked.

  I would leave that old original alone, and purchase one of the new Winchester 1885's already made in 17 WSM. Just my opinion.
