Henry 44-40 Original
I recently purchased a Henry Original 44-40.
Just wanted to say----what an amazing piece of art!!! I have an assortment of weapons as well as several levers but nothing comes close to the quality of this one and I think the appearance of the original is awesome. Couldn't be happier!!! Ammo is an issue but I knew that going into it. Think I may use it on a pig hunt.

Your post got me confused? Are you talking about the real McCoy 1866? Or the modern one made in New Jersey? I believe some were made in Italy, also? 0 -

the rifleman used a win 1892 44-40 but was in the era of late 1880's time warp? 0 -

I believe Henry uses "Original Henry" in their description.0 -
Is there a question here? Ammunition should not be an issue, several manufacturers make 44-40. It won't be on the shelf in every rural gas station, but easy enough to find on-line or in larger sports/gun stores. 0 -

Yep, they do. I was worried he was going to use an "Original" Original Henry to go pig hunting! [:0] Of course, that would fire Henry .44 RF at $75 - $100 per round!

If I am not mistaken, the "ORIGINAL" Henry rifles, were all chambered in 44 Rimfire. 0 -
