Guide rod for FNP

I'm not having any luck finding a stainless steel or metal guide rod & spring for a (FNH) FNP9 Does anyone know of a custom shop that makes them or where I might purchase one. Thank you.

  With Polymer,(plastic) frame pistols like the FN. Plastic guide rods act as a form of buffer, to absorb recoil energy. Going to a steel guide rod might cause problems. Over the long term?
  
  I don't know how the guide rod of the FN is set up? But if it's steel and bottoms out on the plastic frame? Might not be compatible?
