Go to "completed" auction to get up to date selling values.

They were all in mint condition, that's why you invested in safes to keep them that way.

+1 for sign up on the auction side. Then do an advance search using the completed option. Note that there is difference in pre and post 1964 in the Winchester 94 prices, perhaps on the older 39A as well.

    1. $400.00
    2. $400.00
    3. $300.00
    4. $200.00
    5. $400.00
    6. $250.00
    7. $300.00
    8. $400.00
    9. $300.00
    10.$650.00

total $3600.00 add or subtract 10-15% based on conditions and then round up to nearest hundred value, if you have excess or added gun insurance then value at double for exact replacement costs then you will have enough to replace with as good as or better then guns.

Being Canadian might affect price(s), vis a vis the fair market value? As shown on the completed auctions.

    3. 800
    4. 150
    5. 650
    6. 200
    7. 300
    8. 100
    9. 100
    10. 650

also, what kind of safes did you have? if those few guns were in two? safes, they must have been the smaller el-cheapo safes? also, you can bet it was someone you knew, or someone you know told someone. of course a lot of robberies are occurring now because idiots post on facebook and other places that " hey, we are going on vacation to so and so for a week, we are leaving sat be back Friday " lots of criminals follow social media.

Well, since you don't have the serial numbers, that indicates that you don't have your guns scheduled on your insurance policy. I don't know about your insurance company, but mine limits the loss of unscheduled collectibles to $500 total. So, an accurate evaluation probably won't make any difference.

As a service to the forum member, it would be helpful if you could tell us the manufacturer of your safe, & the method of entry (pry, drill, pick, cut, or explosives). Many members have safes, & might be able to improve their security based on your loss.

I have two gun safes ... one is a STACK-ON, and the other I cannot find the brand, but it is one with two round keys to open it.

They turned things over in our bedroom until they found the keys. Guess I need a better hiding place.

Thanks for the good advice and the value info.

No body knew we were leaving for those days. But I think that a number of people know that I have guns.

All the neighbours who see me riding my ATV down the street during deer season all know!

Seems like it must have happened during the day since the next door neighbour (very good friends!) keeps an eye on the place when we are gone. Their bedroom window is around 20 feet from the back door that was broken into. (not to mention the sensor light that would hae been on!) Lots of noise would have woke them and their dog, too. No one around during the day.

well, there is your answer ' STACKON! " take money IMMEDIATLEY and buy yourself a real safe! if you don't spend at least 800 to 1200 you wont get a safe. mine are all fireproof, dead-bolts all the way around, and bolted to the floor, and they have electronic locks. they will stop all but the professional robbers. it is money well spent!f
