Colt Bisley markings?
I have a friend that has a Colt Bisley with no barrel markings (BISLEY or BISLEY SIX SHOOTER). It is a nickel SAA made early 1900's.
I have read everything I can find and nothing I see says they made some without barrel markings.
All other markings and serial numbers are right. Nickel looks right. Your idea?

Only way to find out definitely, is with a Colt letter. Before doing that, have some experienced Colt pro. Check it out, with a hands on.
Chances are it's been refinished. Colt letters are expensive. You will save a lot of money. By having a experienced Colt collector, giving a opinion.0 -
all original ones I have ever seen had proper MARKED barrels I doubt a colt letter would ever state OH we forgot to mark the barrel even if this was the case. [:(] 0 -
I would be comfortable to say,,,it has been buffed out. A pic would quickly tell the tail. 0
