Is there a factory Deerslayer barrel for it?

Never saw one but that doesn't mean they never made one.

Yes, I used one as my first deer gun. Sold it locally a several years ago. Can't remember if it was the old model 37 or the 800,000 newer one. They are somewhere.

Yes, I have a 1972 16 with a 24 inch deerslayer barrel. It's one of the interchangeable ones (after 800,000 ser No#). It is a smoothbore though.

I had a lot of 16 gauge Deerslayer barrels in the old shop..

Mine is 489,062-4 on the bbl. No number on the action.

I'd like to have a shorter bbl. and more open choke, mines full, for partridge, rabbits (ahead of a Beagle)and an occasional whitetail. Maybe I'll find one somewhere here, in the 'Great White North'.
