UMC antique .25 ammo
I just acquired a full two piece box (50) of .25 Stevens Shot rim-fire ammunition made by the Remington Arms Union Metallic Cartridge Co. The box is good and the red labels are discolored but readable with some torn and missing edges. The yellow guarantee on the bottom of the box is great and is printed in English and Spanish!! The ammo is in great shape with a "U" head stamp and what appears to be a wooden bullet plug in each round. The bottom label tells me these are Black Powder shells. I have been collecting ammo for a number of years but have never seen a box of .25 SHOT ammo. Any idea about the date of manufacture or the value???

Never saw 25 cal. shot rounds either. I'm guessing in the 20's.
Regular 25 Stevens are like $3 each and more if the box is good.0 -
$2 to $3 a round minimum. Depending on the condition and rarity of the box it could be more. Put it on the auction side with $1 minimum bid to find out for sure. 0 -
It would help to see the label but I would guess in the early 'teens to perhaps 1930. 0
