Winchester 1894 Bicentennial Rifle
Hi All, And a Happy New Year.
I just purchased a Winchester model 1894 / 9476.
This is a Bicentennial Commemorative rifle supposedly built for 1976?
The fellow i purchased it from said it was built in 1971?
Serial Number is USA87--
I checked on Winchester serial number finder but it does not allow numbers in the search engine.
How do i go about finding the DOM other then calling Winchester.
Thanks and Happy New Year to all.
Tony

Tony,
Your Model 94 Bicentennial commemorative was manufactured and sold in 1976. It was the NRA Centennial that was manufactured in 1971.
Most of the many different commemorative Model 94s used a unique serial number with a alphabetic prefix.0 -
The 1976 Bicentennial Winchester was accompanied by a wooden commemorative plaque with antlers for displaying your rifle. Serial numbers had a "USA" prefix.

Bert,
Thank you for the info. I figured it was 1976.
For some reason, maybe bad memory seller said 1971?

Spider,
You are correct, I asked about the wall plaque, but seller said he did not have it.
Rifle is new, never shot, in box(sleeve).
Came with all original paperwork and hang tag.
Real pretty rifle.
Thanks for the post.
