Something is not right here. Last night I was loading 9mm with 4.7 gr of 231 and was not near the mouth of the 9mm case. Check that your scale is adjusted properly before you go any further.

I just checked and you can get 16 grains in a 38 spl case and still have about an eighth of a inch below the case mouth. We're talking a triple charge. DO NOT USE THEM!! Your scale must be off by at least 10 grains!

Hey thanks for the help. I went back and checked my scale. I guess I was having a senior moment. I got it fixed, thanks.

A set of cheap check weights can save your gun and body parts.

Put the amount of weights in your scale pan to equal the weight that you're going to be loading and if it doesn't jive then you know you've got a problem.
