New fact (to me) 99% of Austrias voted to BE ANNEXED by Germany. Germany got handed an entire country not one shot fired, just because the Nazis were good guys. (that was 1938).
The Pro Second Amendment guys get a heads up from this 87 year old survivor (NOT HOLOCAUST).

One thought, why haven't I seen this before, or even heard of it? She (or someone) exists but can't find any "detailed" information? or even if she's alive.

Basis of the Werthman story doesn't ring true based on simple math alone. This woman of 87 years would have been a child of less than 10 years in 1938. Small children have little to no frame of reference on things like the annexation of Austria.
Secondly, Austria was far less than a democratic bastion of joy in 38. The government of Austria had undergone major restructuring in 34 attempting to cope with the Great Depression that was devastating Europe.0 -
The vote was after Austria had been annexed and was conducted under the watchful eyes of the Wehrmacht.
Maybe not a manipulated election, but assuredly a manipulated electorate.0
