Campaign Trump vs. President Trump
I'm sitting here wondering if there would be a difference between campaign Trump and President Trump.
He's spent a good portion of the campaign trail pissing people off and acting like a jerk.
There's a part of me that wonders if most of it is just show, like he feels that's how to get ratings?
I don't know. Personally, I view his meeting with the Mexican President a success, for whatever it was actually worth. Honestly, my expectations were pretty low, so I was ripe to be impressed. And he did that.
Does that bode more for how he would govern, in your opinion, or do we expect to see a lot more of "say this" "backtrack that" as president. I guess only time will tell, and frankly I have some real reservations about it.
I've said this before (Shilowar, you will probably remember this) but just about every time I have myself convinced I could maybe vote for the guy, he goes and does something over the top ridiculous to remove those thoughts.

1. He is not a politician. Quit expecting him to act like one. We have tried politicians it has not worked out well.

While the issues and positions he has taken are viewed very favorably by many people, darn few of those people would know about those positions if Trump behaved as the usual Republican candidate. The media would do their usual slanted coverage, which includes giving very little time to the R, and spending craploads of time on the D.
The media has been showing what they consider to be Trump's antics, because they do not understand that people like what they are hearing. We have seen politicians who spend a bunch of time talking about the 'good friend on the other side of the aisle'. Most of us think those on the 'other side of the aisle' ought to be drawn, quartered, and shot.
These are not Ds as they were when it was Truman and Kennedy. These are communists and people who believe Western Civilization is the biggest blight ever foisted upon the planet. I don't want to get along with the Ds. I want to destroy them. They consider today's compromise as the starting point for tomorrow's negotiations.
Whether it is Trump, or someone else, it will likely never be a 'normal politician' who might correct the course this country is on.
I am beginning to think that if Trump does not win, we either surrender, or load and lock. At that point, wonderful manners in electiosn is going to be far from the topic of the day.0 -

The way I see it you have a "A politically Correct script speech"
Given in Mexico and the one he gave after Mexico's meeting was not.
The message is the same. What do you want to hear?
1. "We will Deport Illegal Aliens that have broken our immigration laws"
Or the watered down PC version-
2. "We will relocate undocumented migrants back to the country of origin"

My mind set also. I also think that we are not use to a person speaking his mind, without regrets, running for President. Ask yourself, have we ever had a person run for this office that didn't care whom they offended and made no apologies for it, when called on the carpet???Trump is what you see. A little goofy/crazy, but also very brilliant and forthcoming. You get what you see. I have read stories of him behind closed doors, and people say he is totally different. One of our board of directors on the gun club, Richard Harrison, runs Trumps National golf course in Pine Hill. He has told us all, that the real Donald is a very caring man about all people and races. He is very good to strangers and so on. He is not what you always see on TV. Do I like Trump??? Not sure. I am I voting for him???? Hell yeah. Look at the alternative and it is not Gary Johnson .
